Voting is being held on December 5 for the by-election for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh. The Samajwadi Party has accused the BJP of harassing SP voters by misusing power. Meanwhile, all the party leaders have appealed to the voters to vote in maximum numbers. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav (Akhilesh Yadav, SP) has tweeted that this poll will be a tribute to the leader.

Let us tell you that the Mainpuri seat has been considered a stronghold of the Samajwadi Party (SP, Mainpuri). SP’s founder Mulayam Singh Yadav was the MP from this seat, after his death this seat was vacant. The Samajwadi Party has nominated Dimple Yadav, wife of Akhilesh Yadav, while the BJP has fielded Raghuraj Singh Shakya. The results of this election are going to be revealed on December 8.
