Manoj Bajpayee said that Shahrukh Khan has carved a niche for himself in the industry. Insiders also want to be seen with him.
Actor Manoj Bajpayee is not dependent on any introduction. He learned acting with Shahrukh Khan and today both are proving their craft. Recently, Manoj Bajpayee heaped praises on Shahrukh Khan. Bajpayee said that despite all that Shah Rukh Khan has achieved, Shah Rukh Khan remains an outsider at heart.
Manoj Bajpayee recalled the time when he used to do theater with Shahrukh. The actor said that after that both of them went their separate ways. Manoj appeared in Aaj Tak’s ‘Seedhi Baat’, where he talked a lot about the success of Shah Rukh Khan. Manoj Bajpayee said that he always wishes the best for Shah Rukh. Shahrukh has seen very bad times during his youth. Despite this, he has now built such a huge empire, which is a big deal.
Manoj was asked that despite working in the industry for decades, he could not become an ‘insider’, does it matter to him? On this the actor said that Shahrukh Khan adopted the industry and it was his journey. “It is a matter of pride for me when people consider me an outsider. Shah Rukh Khan is also really an outsider. He has carved a niche for himself in the industry. And he did it very well. Those who are real insiders wanted to work with him. I never wanted that for myself.”
When told that Shah Rukh and she are almost of the same age, they have the same voice and height. At this Manoj started laughing and said, “He looks better. He always looks good. He has a chocolaty face and he is very charming. Even in the olden days, everyone used to say I was brilliant, but they preferred to be with him only.”
While both Manoj and Shah Rukh have carved their own paths in the film industry, in recent years both have taken to greater heights by playing detectives. Prime Video’s web series ‘The Family Man’ stars Manoj, and Shah Rukh will be remembered for his character ‘Pathan’ for at least the next few years. Both worked together in the film ‘Veer Zara’.
