Maruti Suzuki starts production of Jimny 5 door, know every small and big detail from launch to waiting period
Maruti Suzuki introduced this off-road SUV at the Auto Expo 2023, after which it has received about 26 thousand bookings so far.
Maruti Suzuki has started production of the Maruti Jimny 5-Door SUV at its Gurugram plant in Haryana. The all-new 5-door version of the Jimny was made its global debut by the company at the Auto Expo 2023 held in January. After which the company had opened its booking process from January 12. Although the company has not yet announced the price of this SUV, but according to the reports, the company may reveal its prices in May 2023.

The bookings for the All New Maruti Suzuki Jimny were started from January 12, 2023. According to the company, since January 12 till now, this off-road SUV has received about 26 thousand bookings. Prices of the Jimny will be officially revealed early next month and deliveries are also expected to begin soon after the launch.
Maruti Jimny 5-Door: Engine and gearbox
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny will be powered by a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that will generate 103 bhp power and 134 Nm peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed torque-converter automatic transmission paired with the AllGrip Pro 4X4 system for better off-road capabilities.

Maruti Jimny 5 DOOR has 9-inch SmartPlay Pro Plus touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, head-up display, 360-degree view camera, steering mounted controls, Arkamys sound system, all-black dashboard, 6 airbags, hill descent control. Features like Hill Hold Assist, EBD, Anti Lock Braking System are being given.
Maruti Jimny 5-Door: Price and rivals
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny will be offered in two trim levels, Zeta and Alpha, with four variants available to the customers. As per the latest reports, the Jimny 5-door SUV will be priced between Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 13.99 lakh, ex-showroom. However, we will get to know the actual prices next month. The Maruti Jimny DOR will compete with the Mahindra Thar and the Force Gurkha in the off-road SUV segment.
