The Prime Minister had inspected the new Parliament House in the last week of March. During this, he had taken detailed information from the concerned officials. He spent about an hour in Parliament. He had spent about an hour at the site of the proposed Central Vista project and inspected the construction status of the new Parliament building.

1. According to sources, there are three main gates in the new Parliament House, which have been named Gyan Dwar, Shakti Dwar and Karma Dwar.
2. The building will have separate entrances for MPs, VIPs and visitors.
3. Another attraction of the building is the Constitution Hall, which has been built to showcase the country’s democratic heritage. A copy of the original Constitution of India is kept in the hall.
4. The new Parliament House will have portraits of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose and other prime ministers of the country.
5. A portrait of the polymath Kautilya has been installed in the building along with a model of the wheel from the Sun Temple of Konark.
6. Built over an area of ​​64,500 square metres, the new building will accommodate 1,224 MPs. This building will be of four floors. It houses a library, several committee rooms and a dining room.
7. Tata Projects has constructed the building at an estimated cost of Rs 970 crore.

In December 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the new Parliament. The new Parliament building is being constructed by Tata Projects Limited. Many such things will be displayed in this building which will show the unity of India. In view of this, the building will have a grand Constitution Hall to showcase India’s democratic heritage and will also have a lounge, library, several committee rooms, dining area and ample parking space for Members of Parliament.

Sources say that the upcoming monsoon session, which is scheduled to start in July. It can be organized in the new Parliament House. Sources said there is also speculation that a meeting of the Speakers of Parliaments of G20 countries may be held in the new building later this year. The construction of this triangular shaped building started on January 15, 2021 and was to be completed by August 2022.
