MP Viral Video: Police has arrested Pravesh Shukla. This information has been given by ASP, Sidhi Anju Lata.
On Tuesday (May 4) evening, a video from Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district went viral on social media. In which another person is seen urinating on one person. The matter escalated so much that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself had to issue a statement asking for strict action.
Now the police has arrested Pravesh Shukla. This information has been given by ASP, Sidhi Anju Lata. He said that we have taken the accused Pravesh Shukla into custody. He is being interrogated. Further legal action in the matter will be taken soon. Earlier, a case was registered against the accused under section 294,504 of IPC and SC/ST Act.
Chief Minister said – will take action under NSA
There was a lot of anger on social media over the viral videos. Common people started questioning the law and order of Madhya Pradesh government. It was written that this is not the first such incident in Madhya Pradesh where a tribal has been treated like this.
During this, a tweet of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan surfaced in which he directed to impose NSA against the culprit. He said, “A viral video from Sidhi district has come to my notice…I have directed the administration to arrest the culprit and take strict action and invoke the National Security Act (NSA) on him.”
Congress said – the accused is from BJP
Now politics has also increased regarding this matter. Pawan Khera, president of the media and publicity department of the Congress, shared the video clip along with a picture of a banner on which the accused Pravesh Shukla was described as ‘Vidhayak Pratinidhi Sidhi’. He tweeted, “In the 21st century such inhuman atrocities are happening with the tribals of our country and we are dreaming of becoming Vishwaguru! What could be more shameful for all of us?
State BJP media in-charge Ashish Aggarwal said that the accused is not associated with the party. He said, “BJP will always oppose every heinous act against the tribal community. Madhya Pradesh BJP demands strict action against this person.”
