He apologized to the farmers because he had made such a statement regarding the rising prices of tomatoes, which has angered the farmers of the country. After facing constant trolling, Sunil Shetty has come out with his clarification.
In fact, while giving an interview to a news portal, Sunil Shetty while talking about the rising prices of tomatoes had said that it is affecting the kitchen of his house as well. Anna had said that he has reduced the consumption of tomatoes. Controversy had arisen regarding this. This statement became increasingly viral on social media and the farmers strongly condemned the actor. Not only this, if reports are to be believed then social worker and farmer Santosh Munde not only criticized the actor but also sent him tomatoes.
Sunil Shetty apologized
Presenting his clarification, Sunil Shetty has apologized to the farmers. He said that he supports the farmers, cannot even think of thinking negatively about them. The actor said that he always works in the interest of farmers and wants indigenous products to be promoted. The actor said, “Farmers are an important part of my life. As a hotelier, my relationship with them has always been direct. If any of my statements, which I have not even said, has hurt them, I sincerely apologise. I can’t even dream of speaking against them. Please don’t misrepresent my statement.”

Sunil Shetty had said that his wife Mana buys only vegetables for a day or two. He believes in eating fresh vegetables. These days the price of tomato has increased so much that it affects the kitchen of people like him. The actor had said that he prefers to buy vegetables from local vendors only. He told that he has an app in his phone, from which he orders vegetables at very cheap prices.
