Maharashtra News: Political war is going on between Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar to control NCP. A meeting of party MLAs has been called from both sides.
Who will take over the NCP, it depends on which camp more MLAs will go. Both uncle-nephew Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar have called a meeting of party legislators today. While 83-year-old Sharad Pawar is said to be banking on his experience and popularity among the people, the Ajit Pawar faction is asking NCP legislators to take a “practical decision”.
Various media reports are claiming that leaders of Ajit Pawar faction have asked NCP MLAs to attend the meeting to be held today. It is being said on behalf of the Ajit group that this will help them in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
According to information received from sources, Ajit Pawar camp told NCP leaders that coming with us will help you in 2024 elections. If projects in your area are incomplete, funds have not passed, we will help you get funds for these projects.
It has also been said on behalf of Ajit group that they respect Sharad Pawar but at this time practical decision is needed, now time has changed and they should now walk with time. It is also being claimed in the media reports that the MLAs coming to the meeting of Ajit faction are being asked to sign an affidavit. Sources claim that the name and symbol of the party will be claimed by giving these affidavits to the Election Commission.
Will Sharad Pawar’s political experience be useful?
On the other hand, all the leaders from the Sharad Pawar faction have also been asked to come to the YB Chavan Center in Mumbai. Sharad Pawar has handed over the petition to the Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Rahul Narvekar for disqualification of Ajit Pawar and 8 MLAs. On behalf of NCP, the Election Commission has also been told that in the year 1999 Sharad Pawar had established NCP. He is the president of the party and there has been no change in the leadership.
