NDA Meeting: Relations between BJP and JJP are not cordial, but Dushyant Chautala reached the meeting, know what is the reason
Now the alliance leaders are saying that JJP has sent a clear signal not to withdraw support to the BJP-led government. Without worrying that his core vote bank may be at risk.
For the last few months, the relationship between the ruling BJP (BJP) and the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) in Haryana is not as cordial as before. Due to this, such speculations are being made that the alliance of both may not last in the next Lok Sabha elections. Although the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) was called in the NDA meeting on Tuesday.
Dushyant Chautala said, “The leadership of both the parties will discuss about the alliance”.
A day before this, on Monday, JJP chief and Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said, “I have said this before. We have entered into an alliance to give a stable government. The leadership of both the parties will discuss how the alliance will move forward. Seat sharing will be a future issue. There are no differences between us.”
State BJP president said – It is too early to speak on alliance
In December 2022, Chautala told The Indian Express, “It was decided when we formed the alliance in 2019. I’ve always said it.” But the BJP didn’t seem too keen, especially as a section within the party was protesting. Union Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh was also included in it. In April this year, Haryana BJP president Om Prakash Dhankhar had said: “Whether we will be in an alliance in the next election or not is a strategic issue. It is too early to say anything about it now.
BJP leaders said that the party is waiting till JJP’s plan comes. In 2020 JJP had won 10 seats. During the agitation for three agricultural laws in 2020-21, farmers were expecting JJP to stand in their support and end the alliance with BJP.
Chautala was under pressure from Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, who resigned from the 2020 Modi government. Although his party was in the NDA for a long time. JJP remained part of the alliance in Haryana even after several protests by farmers against Dushyant Chautala.
Now the alliance leaders are saying that JJP has sent a clear signal not to withdraw support to the BJP-led government. Without worrying that his core vote bank may be at risk. They say that Dushyant Jat also adds to the importance of the face. The proposal comes at a time when former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda is campaigning against the Manohar Lal Khattar-led BJP-JJG government.
