New Mercedes GLC has made its global debut a year before the company launches in India, which is being launched in the Indian market with some major updates.
Mercedes-Benz is about to launch its second generation GLC SUV (New Mercedes GLC) in India on 9 August 2023. The company has started taking pre-bookings of this SUV before its launch. However, even before the official bookings were started by the company, some dealerships started taking bookings unofficially. This SUV has also been spotted several times during testing. New Mercedes GLC: Engine Specifications
Talking about the powertrain of the new Mercedes GLC, the company will launch it in India with both petrol and diesel engine options. It will have the first GLC 300 petrol and the second GLC 220d diesel engine. Both these powertrain options will be offered with Mercedes-Benz 4Matic off-road technology. Both these engines will be of 2.0-liter capacity, with which a 48V capacity integrated motor will be added, which will work to give extra power of 23hp to this engine.
New Mercedes GLC: What will be the features?
Mercedes made the global debut of the new GLC to be launched in India a year back. It is bigger, more attractive and has more features than the current model. The company has made the interior of this SUV almost like the new C-Class. Talking about the features, two screens are going to be available in it. The first screen is of 12.3-inch size which will serve as the instrument cluster. The second screen is an 11.9-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen that will be offered with the new NT7 interface.
New Mercedes GLC: Price, Delivery and Competition
The company has not made any disclosure about the price yet, but according to the reports, the company can launch it with an initial price of Rs 75 lakh (ex-showroom). After the launch in India on August 9, it is expected that Mercedes-Benz India will start the deliveries of this luxury SUV in the last week of August. Talking about the rivals of the new Mercedes GLC, after its launch in India, it will directly compete with the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, Lexus NX and Land Rover Discovery Sport.
