No comment on Shiv Sena feud, Raj Thackeray’s order to his leaders, Shinde said this on EC’s decision

Maharashtra Politics: The Election Commission has allotted the name of Shiv Sena (Uddhav-Balasaheb Thackeray) to the Uddhav Thackeray faction for the Mumbai Andheri East elections. On the other hand, Uddhav’s party has got the new election symbol ‘burning torch’. Meanwhile, Raj Thackeray has kept himself away from the ongoing war between the Uddhav Thackeray faction and the Eknath Shinde faction over the real Shiv Sena.

Raj Thackeray left Shiv Sena in 2005 due to differences with his cousin Uddhav Thackeray. After this he founded the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) in 2006.

Shinde faction will send new list of election symbols again:

On the Election Commission’s decision to name the Eknath Shinde faction as Balasahebunchi Shiv Sena, Eknath Shinde in a tweet called it a victory of Balasaheb Thackeray’s thoughts. However, the Shind faction is yet to get a new election symbol. The Election Commission has asked to send a new list of election symbols of Shinde faction.

Proposal to be sent by October 11:

Earlier, the Shinde faction had suggested the names of mace, rising sun and trishul as election symbols. Now the Shinde faction will have to send a new proposal for the symbol again by October 11.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde tweeted, “Finally the strong Hindutva ideas of Balasaheb Thackeray have won. We are the heirs of Balasaheb’s ideas.” The Election Commission of India today allotted the name ‘Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena’ to Shinde faction of Shiv Sena.
