Pro Kabaddi League: More than 500 players will bid in Pro Kabaddi League 2023, purse also increased by lakhs

PKL Auction 2023: The auction for Pro Kabaddi League 2023 will be held in Mumbai on 8 and 9 September. The players’ purse has increased from Rs 4.4 crore to Rs 5 crore.

Pro Kabaddi League 2023 Auction: The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2023 i.e. PKL 10 will be auctioned for players on September 8 and 9 in Mumbai. More than 500 players will participate in the auction. Not only this, the purse of the players has also been increased from Rs 4.4 crore to Rs 5 crore. Mashal Sports is the organizer of PKL 10.

According to a statement issued by the organisers, the domestic and foreign players for the auction have been divided into four categories – A, B, C and D. Players are placed in sub-categories of ‘all-rounders,’ ‘defenders’ and ‘raiders’ within each category. The base price for each category ranges from Rs 9 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.

This is the base price for each category

  • Category A: 30 lakh rupees
  • Category B: 20 lakh rupees
  • Category C: 13 lakh rupees
  • Category D: 09 lakh rupees

24 players from both the finalists of Khelo India University Games 2023 were also included in the auction.

Let us inform that in PKL season 10, 24 players from the two finalist teams of Khelo India University Games 2023 have also been put in the auction. As per the league policy, the 12 franchise teams of PKL also have the option of retaining players from Season 9. The franchise is allowed to retain a maximum of 6 players per PKL season under the Elite Retained Players classification subject to stipulated conditions.
