Sachin Pilot vs Ashok Gehlot: Congress high command became active after seeing Pilot in ‘flight mode’! Said- the timing of the conference is not right, will talk
Sachin Pilot has once again attacked Ashok Gehlot. After his latest attack, the Congress high command has become active.
The ‘war’ between Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan Congress is going to start again. Former Rajasthan Deputy CM Sachin Pilot on Sunday accused the state Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of sitting on corruption cases against the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government. Not only this, he also announced a day-long protest on Tuesday demanding action on these matters.
However, the central leadership of the Congress has not liked the timing of Pilot’s attack on Gehlot. The Congress central leadership termed the timing of Pilot’s outburst as “not appropriate”, but added that it would speak to Gehlot about the allegations leveled by former deputy CM Sachin Pilot.
The latest statements of Pilot, who has been aspiring for the post of CM for a long time, has put the Congress high command in trouble. These attacks have come at a time when the Congress leadership is sparring with the Modi government on issues like Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification and Gautam Adani. Apart from this, the attention of the Congress leadership is also on Karnataka, where if the party wins, it will be a big lifeline. In such a situation, if the Congress, which is trying to unite the opposition parties, struggles with any internal issue, it will weaken it to surround the government.
AICC Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, when asked about the issue, told The Indian Express that he believed the timing of Pilot’s press conference was inappropriate, but added that he would like to meet Ashok Gehlot. Will go to Jaipur on Monday or Tuesday and ask him “why action has not been taken in the cases against Raje.”
Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said, “I have met Pilot 10-15 times since becoming AICC in-charge of Rajasthan, but he did not mention this issue to me even once. He has discussed many other issues with me. He did not tell me even once that he had raised the issue of corruption when he was the Rajasthan Congress President… He was also the Deputy CM for one and a half years but no action was taken.”
The AICC leader claimed that he said in the press conference that he had told the in-charge as well but I can tell you that nothing happened to me.
He further said, “Yet the issue they have raised, the issue of corruption, we have been raising the issue of Adani, we have been talking about Nirav Modi and others… So it should be probed. I will go to Jaipur tomorrow evening or Tuesday… I will talk to the Chief Minister. Pilot has said that he has written two letters. He will also order the letter, will talk to the CM. Take it out brother, why didn’t you.
Randhawa said that Pilot was also the deputy CM for one and a half years. What was done and what was not done during that time, we will look into all that. We will talk. He said that the timing of Sachin Pilot’s press conference was not appropriate. He said that the party is busy with the issue of disqualification of Rahul Gandhi. We are holding press conferences every day, mobilizing workers… I think this is not the right time… First of all, they have not spoken to me on this issue. But there are many big leaders out there. He could talk to them. Nevertheless, I will go and talk to both of them.
During this, the leadership of Ashok Gehlot was also supported by the Congress high command. Jairam Ramesh said that the Congress government in Rajasthan under the leadership of Ashok Gehlot has implemented a large number of schemes and taken several new initiatives which have benefited the people.
