Political developments are going on in Maharashtra. Sharad Pawar has been on the target of Ajit Pawar faction since the rebellion in NCP. Praful Patel who is considered very close to Sharad Pawar and is even said to not take any political decision without consulting the NCP supremo has made a big statement. Praful Patel accepted that the work of party supporters, members and MLAs can be completed only when you are in power.
Supriya Sule imposes her decision on people – Praful Patel
Speaking to The Indian Express, Praful Patel said that there are two main things that led to this decision. Firstly, Sharad Pawar himself did not shy away from forging an alliance with the BJP. On the other hand, his daughter became the basis of all his actions and he has imposed his decision on everyone.
Speaking to The Indian Express, Praful Patel said that even Sharad Pawar offered outside support to the BJP in 2014. He further said that even in 2019 when Ajit Pawar took oath as Deputy Chief Minister, it happened with full knowledge of Sharad Pawar. Praful Patel said that you will also remember that Sharad Pawar himself said that he was talking to BJP. Then in 2022 when Eknath Shinde took several Shiv Sena MLAs to Surat and Guwahati, Sharad Pawar asked me, Jayant Patil and Ajit Pawar to see if we could forge an alliance with the BJP. But by then it was too late and Shinde had tied up with the BJP.
Regarding the meeting of the opposition in Patna, Praful Patel said that the picture of Patna was not inspiring. They (opposition parties) are saying that they will take on Modi. Patel said there is no plan on how the opposition will take on Modi.
Leaders were confused by Sharad Pawar’s steps- Praful Patel
Praful Patel rejected that Ajit Pawar has compromised with NCP’s ideology and said that the party’s leaders and workers were confused by Sharad Pawar’s actions. Praful Patel said that Sharad Pawar has talked about an alliance with the BJP at least thrice since 2014 and after the elections in 2019, he decided to forge an alliance with the Shiv Sena.
