According to the information, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given permission to join the team of Jammu and Kashmir in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) administrator Brigadier Anil Gupta confirmed to Sportstar that Umran has joined the team in Mohali and will be available for selection for the first match against Meghalaya on Tuesday. “Due to some issues, Umran’s visit to Australia has been delayed and the BCCI has released him for at least the first match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy starting Tuesday,” he added.

Asked how long Umran will be available for J&K in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Gupta said, “May take a match-by-match decision. For the time being, he will be available for the first match. It is also discussed that there has been a delay in the departure of other net bowler Kuldeep Sen to Australia. However, will he play for Madhya Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy or not? No information has come out regarding this. Madhya Pradesh will play Rajasthan in Rajkot on Tuesday.
