As per the reports, the Punch Electric SUV will come with more features and specifications than its petrol variant. Apart from this, the spy shots reveal that it will get disc brakes on all four wheels, an electric parking brake and more.
Tata Punch EV: Battery, range and performance
The Punch EV is expected to get a 25 kWh battery pack and offer a driving range of around 250 to 300 km on a single charge. It will be Tata’s first electric car based on the ALFA platform. In terms of performance, expect the electric motor to develop around 60 bhp and will also get the option of fast charging.
Tata Punch EV: Price and competition
The upcoming Tata Punch EV will fill the space between the Tiago and the Nexon in Tata Motors’ electric vehicle portfolio. Talking about the price, its ex-showroom price is expected to be between Rs 9.50 lakh to Rs 12 lakh. Upon launch, the Tata Punch EV will compete directly with the Citroën eC3 and its sibling, the Tata Nexon EV Prime.
