The Kerala Story Vs Chatrapathi: Bhagyashree’s ‘Chhatrapati’ smokes in the storm of ‘The Kerala Story’, the magic of South remake did not work, earning so much
The Kerala Story Vs Chatrapathi Box Office: The English remake formula of the South film seems to be flopping once again at the box office. South’s English remake ‘Chhatrapati’ could not survive in front of the earnings of ‘The Kerala Story’. Very less collection has been done for two days.
South films continue to dominate the box office. Southern movies have been doing great collections for quite some time now. Now South and English stars are working together. You will see South Stars in many upcoming Bollywood movies. These days, the film ‘The Kerala Story’, directed by Sudipto Sen, is being seen. The film is moving towards the collection of 150 crores in just 10 days. In such a situation, its fire is intact at the box office and the films released next to it are not able to show anything special. The recently released film ‘Chatrapathi’ pales in front of it. Once again the formula of English remake of South seems to be failing in theatres. Let us tell you how much the film of Bhagyashree and Srinivas Bellamkonda has collected?
According to box office collection tracker Sachnik, it is being said that Srinivas Bellamkonda, Nushrat Bharucha and Bhagyashree starrer film ‘Chhatrapati’ has collected just 1.10 crores in two days. Its opening has not been anything special. It did a business of 0.45 crores on the first day and has got to see a jump in the collection on the second day. It collected 0.65 crores. In such a situation, the total earning of two days has become 1.10 crores. Along with this, it is being speculated about its third day’s earnings that it is not going to earn anything special on Sunday as well. ‘The Kerala Story’ seems to be overshadowing this. People are giving priority to Adah Sharma’s film.
‘Chhatrapati’ is a English remake of Prabhas’ film
Srinivas Bellamkonda and Nushrat Bharucha’s film ‘Chhatrapati’ is the English remake of Prabhas and SS Rajamouli’s Telugu film ‘Chhatrapati’. It was released in 2005. Seeing the film’s two-day earnings, it can be said once again that the formula of South’s English remake is no longer going to work at the box office.
‘The Kerala Story’ continues its run at the box office
It’s been 10 years since ‘The Kerala Story’ released. Its earnings are not taking the name of stopping. It has collected 135.99 crores in just 10 days. It has collected around 23 crores on the 10th day i.e. Sunday. However, after the official number comes, there may be a slight change in the figures.
