The Tata wonder The Punch CNG SUV launched

Tata Punch CNG Like the other models in Tata Motors’ CNG range, the PUNCH can also be started directly in CNG mode, a feature not available in CNG cars offered by Maruti or Hyundai….
Making the CNG SUV race even more exciting, the country’s leading automaker, Tata Motors, has officially launched its long-awaited Punch CNG SUV for sale today, i.e. August 4. This SUV has been launched in a total of 5 variants, priced between Rs 7.10 lakh and Rs 9.68 lakh (ex-showroom).

Interestingly, this price is well below that of the CNG variant of the SUV’s closest rival, the Hyundai Exter, which starts at Rs 8.24 lakhs. The Punch CNG is available in three versions – Pure, Adventure and Accomplished – each with its own option package, as is the case with the petrol Punch. However, the top-of-the-range Tata Creative version has no CNG option.
This is the fourth CNG model introduced by Tata after the Tata Tiago, Tigor and Altroz. This further strengthens Tata’s CNG portfolio. The CNG variant is around Rs 1.60 lakh more expensive than either of the petrol versions. The starting price of the petrol variant is Rs 6 million. The Punch CNG was presented for the first time by the automaker at the last Auto Expo, and is one of the safest SUVs in its segment, achieving a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. So let’s take a look at what makes this SUV so special:

Power and performance of the Tata Punch CNG:

In the Punch CNG, the company has used the same 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that is available in the gasoline variant. This engine generates 86 hp and 113 Nm of torque in petrol mode, and 73.4 hp and a maximum torque of 103 Nm in CNG mode, and is only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. In other words, CNG customers will not benefit from the automatic gearbox.
