The MCD had received information regarding a flat in B-block of IBHAS Society, located in GK-I under Delhi’s GK-I police station. People were worried about the foul smell coming from the flat. When the MCD officials spoke to the woman and asked her to hand over the dogs for treatment, she did not agree.
MCD officials adopted the legal route
After the woman’s refusal, the MCD took the legal route by issuing a search warrant and searched the woman’s house. MCD officials were also surprised to see the inside view. A foul smell was coming from the flat. Dog filth was spread everywhere. Even the dog’s filth was lying on the stairs.
It was told that such a strong foul smell was emanating from the flat that it was difficult to even stand there. Due to not getting proper food to the dogs, their condition was not good. MCD has rescued the dogs and registered an FIR against the woman. According to the information, a case under section 269 and 291 of IPC has been registered against the woman in GK-1 police station.
