In Gujarat’s Surat city, such a building has been completed, which is being described as the world’s largest office building. The name of this building is Surat Diamond Bourse. Earlier, the Pentagon, the Defense Department building located in the city of Arlington in the US state of Virginia, had the status of being the world’s largest office building.
3000 crore rupees were spent in making the 15-storey building spread over 35 acres.
Spread over 35 acres, more than 7.1 million square feet of land and 15 floors, a total of Rs 3000 crore has been spent in the construction of this building. It took four years to make it. The business and other businesses will start permanently in the building on 21 November 2023. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally inaugurate it on 21 November itself.
The entire structure of the building is in the form of nine rectangular pillars.

The design of this building has been prepared by the Indian firm Morphogenesis. Even before this building was built, many big diamond traders had bought their space. There is a commercial complex, entertainment area and parking area inside the building. The special thing is that more than 65 thousand diamond traders will be able to do their business together in this building.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted when this building was ready. He said, “The Surat Diamond Bourse showcases the dynamism and growth of Surat’s diamond industry. It is also a testimony to the entrepreneurial spirit of India. It will serve as a hub of trade, innovation and collaboration, thereby boosting our economy and creating employment opportunities.”
