UP Nikay Chunav 2023 Result: BJP fielded 395 Muslim candidates in UP civic elections

The BJP has fielded Muslim candidates for the posts of presidents of 6 Municipal Councils and 32 Nagar Panchayats. There are 18 Muslim candidates in the fray for the post of Nagar Panchayat President.

In a special experiment, the Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded Muslim candidates for most of the posts for the Uttar Pradesh municipal elections. Independent candidate is ahead in Badaun’s Kakrala Municipality President seat, while BJP candidate Margoon Ahmed Khan is behind.
