Her husband Deepak Singh was recently thrashed by Samajwadi Party MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh in the police station premises in front of the policemen. Chances of victory of Rashmi Singh from Gauriganj seat
In fact, Rashmi Singh, wife of Deepak Singh, who was the victim of beating in the police station, had contested as a BJP candidate for the Gauriganj municipal seat. Till the second round of counting, she was leading by 1270 votes. As soon as the counting of votes started on SP candidate Tara Singh, it started to appear heavy. Going by the trends, there is every possibility of him winning. Voting for the Uttar Pradesh municipal elections was held in two phases on May 4 and May 11. In the first phase, 52 percent voting was recorded and in the second phase, 53 percent voting was recorded.

Case of assault in front of the policemen in the police station
An FIR was lodged against 12 of his supporters, including SP MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh, for beating Deepak Singh, husband of BJP candidate for the post of Gauriganj municipality president Rashmi Singh, in front of the policemen in the police station premises. Two days ago, the video of Rakesh Pratap Singh beating Rashmi Singh’s husband Deepak Singh went viral on social media. Users reacted fiercely to this video.
Abusing started in Kotwali
According to reports, SP MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh was sitting on a dharna at Gauriganj Kotwali in Amethi for his demands. He accused the Amethi police of not registering an FIR against his supporter. He said, ‘Five days ago the car of one of my supporters was vandalized. In this case, even till date the FIR has not been registered. Apart from this, four of my supporters were thrashed three days ago by driving a car in front of me. My FIR is also not being written in this matter.
Angry people did not stop when the policemen stopped
It is being told that Rashmi Singh’s husband Deepak Singh reached Gauriganj Kotwali in his Fortuner car and abused SP MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh sitting on the dharna. Hearing the abuses, Rakesh Pratap Singh got angry and started beating Deepak Singh in front of everyone. His supporters also thrashed Deepak Singh. Despite the police’s prevention, the brawl continued inside the police station. Someone made a video of the entire incident and made it viral.
