The Pushkar Singh Dhami government of the state is going to clamp down on the outsiders working in and around various religious places in Uttarakhand. In fact, in the hilly areas and plains of Uttarakhand, land mafia from other states are coming here and buying land. Due to this, there is a danger of disturbing the law and order. To deal with all this, the BJP government is going to make the land law more stringent. At the same time, to rein in the outsiders working at various religious places of the state, a massive verification campaign is going to be conducted strictly.

Along with this, the state government has also decided to conduct background check of outsiders who buy land in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Dhami also reviewed the encroachment on government land in a high-level meeting with the officials. So far, the state government has freed the possession of people of different religions on government land by demolishing hectare of forest land and illegal religious places. The government has decided that strict action will be taken on government land in any case. To free government land from encroachment, all government lands will have a separate unique number. All departments will make a register of their government land.

Satellite images will be taken from time to time of government land. A committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate to remove illegal encroachments. It will hold review meetings to remove encroachments from government land in the districts and get illegal encroachments removed.
