The country is celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, but even today there are many houses which are forced to live life without basic amenities like electricity and water. Noorjahan, 70, a resident of Bulandshahr, was also among those who did not have electricity connection at home, nor was she able to get an electricity connection. However, due to the initiative of a woman IPS officer, now the bulb is burning in Noorjahan’s house and the fan is also blowing air.

After the electricity connection was made, as soon as the bulb was lit for the first time in the house of the elderly woman, her face lit up, the policemen present there also smiled.

The policemen informed the elderly woman Noorjahan about the electricity board. Noor Jehan then hugged the IPS officer and the policemen fed her sweets.
