Volvo C40 Recharge: Volvo C40 Recharge will be launched in India on June 14, know driving range, features and specifications before entering the market
Two battery pack variants are available in the international market of Volvo C40 Recharge, but the company has not yet given any information about the launch of both its battery packs in India.
Seeing the rapidly increasing demand for electric cars and the future of this segment in India, all the automakers are launching electric versions of their cars. This list includes names ranging from Tata to Hyundai, in which a new name has been added to Volvo, which will launch its new electric car Volvo C40 Recharge in India on June 14.

Volvo C40 Recharge: Battery Specifications
Volvo C40 Recharge is available with Single and Twin motors. The first variant gets rear-wheel-drive and the second gets all-wheel-drive. However, Volvo has not confirmed whether both the variants will be launched in India or not.
The first single motor variant gets a 69kWh lithium-ion battery that generates 235bhp of maximum power along with 420Nm of peak torque. Its top speed is 180kmph. The single motor C40 Recharge accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 7.4 seconds. The single motor C40 Recharge is also available with a bigger 82kWh battery with an output of 248bhp.
The second battery pack is of 82kWh, dual-motor setup is available in it. It generates 402bhp of max power and 670Nm of peak torque. This battery pack is available with all-wheel-drive. This battery pack accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 180 kmph.
Volvo C40 Recharge: Range and charging time
The entry level 69kWh battery pack offers a driving range of up to 460km as per WLTP cycle on a single full charge. The battery can be charged from 10-80 percent in about 34 minutes using a 130kW DC charger.
The second battery pack, 82 kWh, provides a driving range of up to 515 km on a full charge. This battery pack can be charged with a 200kW DC charger. Based on this, it charges up to 10-80 percent in 28 minutes.
Volvo has updated the AWD version by increasing the power capacity of the twin motors. The rear axle gets a 183kW (245bhp) e-motor while the front gets a 117kW (157bhp) motor. With the new battery cooling update, the Twin Motor AWD can now drive up to 500km on a single charge, providing an additional 62km boost compared to the previous model. It gets charged from 10 to 80 percent with 150kW DC fast charging.
Volvo C40 Recharge: Features
The C40 Recharge comes with in-built Google services as standard. Features include Google Maps, Google Assistant and Google Play all available on a single touch. Apart from this, it is equipped with an air filter system that prevents 80 percent of the dangerous PM 2.5 particles from entering the cabin.
The C40 Recharge gets a 13-speaker Harmon Kardon music system with a 600W digital amplifier and an air-ventilated subwoofer. It also offers remote services through the Volvo Car App that lets you lock and unlock the car, cabin pre-cleaning and start heating or cooling and charging.
Volvo C40 Recharge: 5-Star Euro NCAP Safety Rating
The C40 Recharge has been awarded a five-star safety rating in the 2022 Euro NCAP tests, making it one of the safest cars in the market. Apart from this, the EV comes with safety features like 360-degree parking camera, cross-traffic alert, blind spot detection, lane-keeping assist and emergency braking.
