Voter became a Pakistani citizen in Bihar’s Saran, know the whole matter

Bihar News: Bihar’s Saran District Officer Rajesh Meena has directed the ARO to investigate and find out when and under what circumstances the name of a Pakistani national has been added to the voter list without investigation.

Bihar News: In Bihar’s Saran district, a case of adding a Pakistani citizen’s name to the voter list has come to light. After this, there has been a stir in the district administration. It is alleged that the person got the citizenship of Pakistan in 1947 itself. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the District Officer has ordered an inquiry and asked it to find out how and under what circumstances the name of the person has been added to the voter list without investigation.

The name of this person is Akhtar Imam Khan and his father’s name is Abdul Khalid Khan. This matter has been raised by Santosh Kumar, the former Mukhiya representative of this Panchayat. He has filed a complaint by applying from the local block to the district officer’s office. Santosh Kumar has also presented all the evidence to substantiate his allegations.

He told that at the time of partition of the country, Akhtar Imam Khan of his village had gone to Bangladesh. 8-10 years ago, his name has been added on the number 187 of the regional election cycle number 5 of the Gram Panchayat. He demanded from the administration that who gave the photo of that Pakistani citizen, who signed his form and how his name was included in the voter list, we have to know.

At the same time, after the matter came to light, there has been a stir in the administration and Saran District Officer Rajesh Meena also directed the ARO to investigate it. The district officer said, “We have come to know about this matter. We have instructed the ARO there to investigate and take action. However, prima facie no such case has come to the fore and the final report is awaited, a decision will be taken after that.”

After the instructions of the District Officer, the BDO has sought clarification from the BLO. Along with this, a report has also been sought about how this person’s name has been added to the voter list without investigation and under what circumstances.
