For the last few days, voice calls are coming continuously from international numbers on WhatsApp. Many users have complained about this on social media. This problem is being seen all over the country. The situation is so serious that even Rajeev Chandrashekhar, a minister in the Government of India, had to come out in front and issue a statement and he also sent a notice to WhatsApp. Now WhatsApp has given its reply on that notice.

WhatsApp spokesperson said that we are already providing many safety tools, people have block-report options. We constantly monitor the platform and try to remove the wrong activities. But now a new scam has started. A missed call is given and people call back on it and they get scammed. But our new restrictions will reduce this scam by 50 percent. We will continuously continue our efforts so that the users face the least amount of problems.

By the way, Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar had given a big statement on this whole controversy. He had said that the government will see that the apps which are already installed in the phone, what should they be allowed to access.
