Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s Public Meeting In Gonda: Brij Bhushan Singh addressed a rally in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh on 11 June 2023, on the occasion of the completion of nine years of the Narendra Modi government.

The outgoing President of the Wrestling Federation of India and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Brij Bhushan Singh announced on Sunday, June 11, 2023, that he would again contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Kaisarganj in Uttar Pradesh. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh addressed a public meeting in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh on the occasion of completion of nine years of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. The public meeting was organized under the BJP’s Maha Sampark Abhiyan for the 2024 elections. Women wrestlers have accused Brij Bhushan Singh of sexual harassment.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh took out a 35 kilometer road show before addressing the public meeting. Brij Bhushan read the Chaupai of Ramcharit Manas in the public meeting. She chanted Bharat Mata and recited poetry, but did not mention the protest from top wrestlers including Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia during her speech. However, it is believed that Brijbhushan Sharan Singh has retaliated against the allegations leveled against him on the pretext of poetry.

Brij Bhushan Singh said from the stage, ‘Hoihi soi jo Ram rachi rakha. Ko Kari Argument Badhwai Sakha. After this read poetry. Brij Bhushan Singh said, ‘ Sometimes tears, sometimes sorrow and sometimes poison is drunk, then I got this measure of love, my name is taken by calling it unfaithful, call it disgrace or fame, my name is taken with pressed lips.’

Continuing his talk, he said, ‘Sometimes you start questioning yourself, whenever you ask questions with a cursory glance, you ignore serious things.’ When the media persons questioned Brij Bhushan Singh about Shayari, he refused to say anything. However, on asking more, he said that he keeps on doing poetry.

Brij Bhushan had earlier announced to hold a public awareness rally in Ayodhya on June 5, which had to be postponed following the Supreme Court’s directive. He had claimed that his political opponents had leveled false allegations against him.
