WTC Final: Pat Cummins made a big disclosure about playing XI, not Michael Neser, this player will replace Josh Hazlewood
Michael Neser was included in the squad after Josh Hazlewood was injured.
WTC Final, IND vs AUS: Australia’s Test captain Pat Cummins has given a big update about his playing XI a day before the final match of the World Test Championship. Michael Neser may have been included in the team in place of fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, but he will not get a chance in the playing XI. Australia is going to show confidence in Scott Bowland only.
Naser will not get a chance
Australia captain Pat Cummins has said that he will not make too many changes to his team’s strategy. The team will go with five batsmen, all-rounder Cameron Green, wicketkeeper Alex Carey, three fast bowlers and a spinner. Neser’s name will not be included in the list of fast bowlers. Cummins admitted that Neser’s name was discussed but he wanted three fast bowlers in the team who can play in different ways.
Need a good mix in fast bowling
Cummins said, ‘Scott is a fast bowler who bowls at a good length. He is different from Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc. We did not want to change anything in this mix. The Australian captain said that Neser will definitely get the fruits of his performance in county cricket and he can be seen playing in the Ashes series. Regarding Scott Boulange, Cummins said, ‘The game plan for Scott is quite straightforward. If you hit your good areas, and stay all day, the ball will do something for you. He has bowled a few overs here so far which have been good.
Cummins also talked about managing the workload of Cameron Green here. He said, ‘Fast bowlers will bowl more overs at the beginning, Green will get a chance at the end. He is fit but we didn’t want him to get 40 overs. We are trying to destroy his power.
