AUS vs PAK: Pakistan restricted Australia to 318 in the first innings, Marnus Labuschagne’s fifty; Bowlers wasted 52 runs

In the Boxing Day Test between Pakistan and Australia being played in Melbourne, Australia’s first innings was reduced to 318 runs. Marnus Labuschagne scored the highest score of 63 runs. No Kangaroo batsman was able to convert a good start into a big innings. Had the Pakistani bowlers not given 52 extra runs, the host team would not have been able to cross the 300 mark. These wasted runs can prove costly for Pakistan.

Talking about Australia’s batting, opener David Warner scored 38 runs. This left-handed batsman, who was playing his last Test, was dismissed by Agha Salman. Usman Khawaja was sent to the pavilion by Hasan Ali for 42 runs. Marnus Labuschagne scored 63 runs. Steve Smith scored 26 runs. Both the batsmen were dismissed by Aamer Jamal.
