Bheed Review: The story of the film reflects the cruelties of the Corona era
Bheed Review: The story of the film crowd is reminding the audience of the time of lockdown in 2020.
In the month of March 2020, when there was a lockdown in India due to Corona virus, Anubhav Sinha has tried to summarize what the country saw in this film. The Corona period was a horrifying experience, due to which the people of the village and the city were badly affected.
Especially those laborers working in cities, who had gone from their villages to big cities in search of livelihood, then were forced to return to their homes, thousands of kilometers away. That too on foot, because all other modes of transport were blocked. And even while returning on foot, he had to face police beatings and became like a criminal in his own country. This difficult and cruel time has been shown in the film.
Raj Kumar Rao played the role of a police officer named Surya Kumar in this film who is posted at a check post and is engaged in controlling the movement of migrant laborers and common people in his own country. He is also in love with a lady doctor Renu Sharma (Bhumi Pednekar). Surya Kumar is a Dalit, so he has to face many problems even within the system. Dr. Renu is also helping people in this period. Kritima Kamra has played the role of a media reporter and has played in a wonderful way. Pankaj Kapoor has also looked very strong.
It is important to underline here that ‘Bheed’ is not an entertaining film. However, it is very tight and tight and there is not a single moment which does not shock and make you think. After all, how does the country we are living in take care of its common citizens in times of crisis, whether they do or not, how big people try to overpower the system (Dia Mirza has played a similar character ) Such questions arise in the mind after watching this film.
