Budget 2024 President Droupadi Murumu speech: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the country’s interim budget (Interim Budget 2024) in Parliament on 1 February 2024.   3. Our effort is to reduce the cost in farming and increase the profit. Till now, farmers have received more than Rs 2 lakh crore under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme, farmers paid a premium of Rs 30,000 crore, in return received a claim of Rs 1.5 lakh crore. Earlier, government procurement of oilseeds and pulses was equal. Earlier, farmers cultivating oilseeds and pulses have received Rs 1.25 lakh crore as MSP. My government is promoting cooperation in agriculture. For the first time, a Ministry of Cooperation was created in the country. The world’s largest grain storage scheme started. In villages where there are no cooperative societies, 2 lakh cooperative societies are being formed.
  4. Government’s attention to increase the power of women power. The world also saw a glimpse of the potential of our daughters in the Republic Day Parade. The government has expanded the role of daughters everywhere in water, sky and land.
  5. The government made efforts to increase the economic participation of women. About 10 crore women are associated with self-help groups. My government is running a campaign to make 2 crore women Lakhpati Didi. 15000 drones are being provided to the groups.
  6. Increasing maternity leave from 12 months to 26 weeks helped lakhs of women in the country. For the first time, women cadres were admitted to Sainik Schools and National Security Academy. Today women are also flying fighter planes. Out of more than 40 crore loans given under Mudra Yojana, 31 crore loans have been given to women.
  7. The grand edifice of developed India will stand on four pillars. These pillars are-youth power, women power, farmers and poor. The government is working on strengthening these four pillars.
  8. 4 crore 10 lakh poor families have got their permanent houses. About Rs 6 lakh crore was spent on this.
  9. 10 crores worth of Ujjwala scheme was completed. These beneficiaries are being given gas at low prices. The government spent Rs 2.5 lakh crore on this. Since the Corona period, 80 crore countrymen are being given free ration. Now it has been extended for the next 5 years. It is estimated that Rs 11 lakh crore more will be spent on this.
  10. Today, India’s economy is in the top-5 due to major reforms due to good governance and transparency. NPA of banks reduced to 4 percent. The banking system of our country is one of the strongest banking systems in the world. Make in India and self-reliant campaign are our strength
