Talking to the media after the adjournment of the House, Congress Party President Mallikarjun Kharge said that the leaders of all parties together have taken a decision that the incidents happening in the country from the economic point of view have to be raised in the House, so we have given a notice. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge further said that we have decided that we will discuss in the House that those whose money is in LIC or in other institutions, how it is being wasted. People’s money is being given to a few companies, due to reports of which the shares of the company have fallen.
What is the demand of the opposition?
Opposition leaders, led by Mallikarjun Kharge, demanded a JPC inquiry or a probe by a panel appointed by the CJI in the matter related to the Adani Group. Congress party leader Jairam Ramesh said both houses were adjourned because the government did not agree to the joint opposition’s demand for a probe into forced investments made by LIC, SBI and other public institutions.
