CBI recommends FIR against Sisodia

An uproar broke out in Delhi on Wednesday over alleged snooping by the Feedback Unit of the Delhi government.

After the investigation report sent by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to the Lieutenant Governor’s office came to the fore, the BJP leaders raised the issue. The round of press conference went on throughout the day and it was decided that BJP workers will hit the road on Thursday.

According to sources, the CBI in its preliminary probe found that the Feedback Unit (FBU), set up by the Delhi government to check corruption, allegedly collected political intelligence. The CBI has recommended registration of an FIR against Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in this matter. According to sources, the CBI has sought permission from Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena to probe further.

After this, all the big leaders of the state BJP put the Kejriwal government in the dock. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said that the Feedback Unit spies, Aam Aadmi Party is secretly listening. AAP’s leaders are not working for Delhi, but spying illegally with the money of the people of Delhi. Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri has said that Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia should resign immediately as there have been so many cases against him that he has no moral or constitutional right to continue in his post.

After the Delhi government’s Feedback Unit was busted, it has become clear that the Aam Aadmi Party government is working keeping all the rules and regulations in check. State BJP working president Virendra Sachdeva demanded the Lieutenant Governor to allow the CBI to register an FIR in this context without delay. Along with this, he said that like the advertisement scam, the government funds wasted on the ‘Feedback Unit’ scam should be recovered from Arvind Kejriwal.

Party spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that the matter is very serious. In protest against this, the Delhi BJP will hold a huge protest march against the Kejriwal government on Thursday at 11 am. The protesters will assemble at Shaheedi Park near ITO and gherao the Delhi Secretariat. Delhi BJP working president Virendra Sachdeva and Leader of Opposition Ramvir Singh Bidhuri will lead the protest march.

Feedback unit formed by Kejriwal government in 2015 Arvind Kejriwal formed a feedback unit after securing a majority in the 2015 assembly elections. Its work was to monitor the departments, institutions, independent institutions and give effective feedback on the working here, so that necessary reforms can be taken on this basis.
