According to the Enforcement Directorate (ED), around Rs 70 lakh was paid in cash to party workers involved in the survey team of AAP during the elections. The probe agency said AAP’s media in-charge Vijay Nair had asked some people involved in campaign-related work to receive payment in cash. The chargesheet claims Vijay Nair extorted Rs 100 crore from a group of YSRCP MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, his son Raghava Magunta, Aurobindo Pharma director P Sarath Chandra Reddy, Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s daughter Kavitha Kalvakuntla on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party. Bribe was obtained.

The central agency said that Hyderabad-based businessman Abhishek Boinapalli got the money transferred by entering into a conspiracy with Dinesh Arora, an aide of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

The ED has presented a supplementary charge sheet in the case before Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday. AAP’s Vijay Nair, businessman Sarath Reddy, Binoy Babu, Abhishek Boinapalli and Amit Arora were named in this supplementary charge sheet. Manish Sisodia’s name was not included in the charge sheet. The ED told the court that further investigation is on in the matter. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP supremo responded to the ED’s allegation, saying it was “purely fictitious”.
