Hero MotoCorp sold 5.2 lakh two wheelers in April 2023, maintains leadership with 15 percent sales growth

Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler maker, reported sales of 5,19,342 units in March 2023, a double-digit growth of 15 per cent over the same month in 2022, when the two-wheeler maker announced sales of two-wheelers. 4,50,154 units were sold. Hero MotoCorp has further consolidated its leadership position by crossing 5.3 million unit sales in FY2023 driven by positive market demand.
The company sold 53,28,546 units in FY23, registering a growth of 8 per cent as compared to the same period last fiscal (FY22), when the company sold 49,44,150 units.
Recently, the Board of Hero MotoCorp appointed Niranjan Gupta as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company with effect from May 1, 2023, as its Chief Financial Officer, Head – Strategy & M&A. I have been promoted from my current position. Dr. Pawan Munjal will continue to be the Executive Chairman and Whole Time Director on the Board.
Hero MotoCorp also launched a new 110cc scooter – the Zoom, to strengthen its scooter portfolio, followed by the XTEC variants of the Splendor, Passion and Super Splendor in FY23.
In the financial year, Hero MotoCorp partnered with Zero Motorcycles, California (USA) – a manufacturer of electric motorcycles and powertrains, to collaborate on a premium electric motorcycle. This collaboration will combine Zero’s expertise in developing powertrains and electric motorcycles with Hero’s global scale and capabilities in manufacturing.
Hero MotoCorp has a wide range of scooters and motorcycles ranging from commuter bikes to adventure and sports bikes. Apart from this, a large number of scooters ranging from 100cc engine to 125cc engine are also present in the scooter.
