According to the news agency PTI, Mohammed Shami was injured during the training session after returning from Australia after playing T20 World Cup 2022. The injury of Mohammed Shami will affect the fast bowling of Team India. The reason for this is the absence of Jasprit Bumrah.
A BCCI source told news agency PTI, “Mohammed Shami has suffered a hand injury after resuming practice after the T20 World Cup in Australia. He has been asked to report to the NCA and did not accompany the team to Bangladesh on 1 December. It is not known how serious Mohammed Shami’s injury is.
The 33-year-old Bengal speedster Mohammed Shami is an integral part of India’s ODI squad going into next year’s World Cup. Captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid will be a matter of great concern if Mohammed Shami does not play the Test series. India need to win every match to stay in the race for the World Test Championship Final (WTC Final) to be held at The Oval in June.
