Due to this speed, he got a chance to play for Team India. Now Jammu and Kashmir has given another fast bowler Avinash Singh to Indian cricket. On 23 December 2023, he was signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for Rs 60 lakh in the mini auction for the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL 2023).
Avinash Singh not only impressed Virat Kohli’s franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) but also Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC) with his pace. . Apart from RCB, KKR had also shown interest in buying him in the IPL auction.

Talking to The Indian Express over phone, Avinash Singh said, “RCB had a trial in Mumbai in September. He liked my bowling action. I did well in camp. The fastest I bowled was 154.3 kmph. I was also called in Kolkata, Lucknow and Delhi franchises to give trial. That trial also went well. I fully expected that I would be bought.”

The reason for this was that Avinash used to play cricket with tennis ball earlier. He did not play cricket with leather ball. After returning from Pune, there was a lot of improvement in his length and pace.

Speaking to The Indian Express, Avinash Singh’s coach Mayank Goswami said that Kolkata, Lucknow and Delhi franchises wanted him to be a net bowler this year. All three franchises wanted to see him in the auction next year, but RCB wanted to pick him this year. That is why they bid for Avinash. Coach Mayank Goswami also informed that Avinash Singh is already working with the RCB trainer and physio and they are monitoring him.
