Sanjay Singh will appear in Rouse Avenue court today, ED will demand remand.

In the Delhi Liquor Policy Case, ED arrested Rajya Sabha MP and Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh on Wednesday evening after a long interrogation. ED interrogated Sanjay Singh for more than 10 hours and then arrested him. Sanjay Singh will be produced in Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday, where ED will tell the court that Sanjay Singh did not cooperate during interrogation. This is the reason why he has been arrested. It is believed that ED will demand remand of Sanjay Singh.

According to sources, the Central Investigation Agency has a long list of questions, answers to which are to be taken from Sanjay Singh. Citing the same questions, ED will demand remand of the AAP leader. It is noteworthy that Sanjay Singh is the second big leader to be arrested in connection with corruption in Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22. Earlier, former Delhi Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been arrested in the same case, who is currently in jail.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh is a result of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s frustration over the opposition alliance INDIA. After the arrest of AAP MP Sanjay Singh, many other party leaders including Kejriwal, Somnath Bharti, Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Delhi Mayor Shaili Oberoi reached his residence.

Later, while talking to journalists, CM Kejriwal said that Aam Aadmi Party is a staunchly honest party. He said, “We all know that the path of honesty is difficult. If we become dishonest like them, all our problems will end. We are brutally honest and that is why these problems are arising.
