Tamil Nadu Fake Video: Jharkhand youth living in Chennai arrested by police, was making fake video

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin interacted with a group of workers at a factory in Tirunelveli on Tuesday to reach out to the migrant labor community in the state.

A Jharkhand youth living in Tamil Nadu’s Tambaram town has been caught by the police for allegedly making fake videos to gain popularity. Police say that the accused youth wanted to create unrest among the migrants living in the state through this video. It is alleged that the youth along with his friends wanted to show in the video that the people of Tamil Nadu were beating him and he was requesting the government to help send him back to his hometown.

Investigation revealed, then caught

When the police examined the video, the whole matter came to light. The police caught him and sent him to judicial custody. The name of the accused youth is Manoj Yadav and he is a resident of Jharkhand. These days he was living in Maraimalai Nagar of Tambaram city of Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin interacted with a group of workers at a factory in Tirunelveli on Tuesday as part of an effort to reach out to the migrant labor community in the state. The chief minister’s move comes in the wake of apprehensions spreading among migrant workers over alleged fake videos of attacks on some of the migrant workers in the state. This prompted the Bihar government to send an official delegation to take stock of the situation.

An official release said Stalin visited Kanam Latex, a hand glove maker in the district, and interacted with migrant workers and inquired about their well-being. Stalin discussed issues with the migrant workers such as how long they have been in Tamil Nadu, whether they were treated well by the local people and whether they faced any problems.

The workers told him that they have a good working environment, some have been living in Tamil Nadu for more than five years, many of them with their families and the local people treating them with brotherhood. The workers while accepting the help extended by the state government told them that they have no fear and feel safe here just like they do at their native places.
