Tightened the noose on Sisodia-Sanjay Singh, K Kavita also arrested, will the heat reach Kejriwal now?

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s challenges in the alleged liquor scam are increasing. Today i.e. on Friday he has to appear before the ED. There has already been a shock from the court and clear orders have been given to appear. Meanwhile, the arrest of Kavita has also increased the challenges of the AAP convener. Many people have now been arrested in this one liquor scam.

Manish Sisodia was first arrested by ED, after which Sanjay Singh was also arrested. Now KCR’s daughter K Kavita’s name has been added among the big leaders. He has been arrested from Telangana and has also been brought to Delhi. The possibility of his arrest was already being considered; like Kejriwal, he too was ignoring the ED summons. She was called twice, but she did not go.

For this reason, on the basis of evidence, ED took major action on Friday and arrested K Kavita and she will be interrogated further. The allegations leveled against Kavita are also directly related to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Actually, in February last year, CBI had arrested accountant Buchibabu Gorantla. He used to handle the account of K Kavita.

During question-answer he had claimed that K. Kavita had political connections between Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and former deputy CM Manish Sisodia. He had also told that Kavita had also met Vijay Nair on 19-20 March 2021. Vijay Nair has been arrested by both ED and CBI in the alleged liquor scam. It is alleged that a bribe of Rs 100 crore was given to Vijay Nair only.

Now, on one hand, ED not only has many claims in its charge sheet, but along with it, there are also some questions regarding CM Arvind Kejriwal which can further implicate him in this case. In fact, the most important fact that has come out is that Vijay Nair was close to Arvind Kejriwal. It has even been said that Kejriwal had called Nair his man. Apart from this, the meeting of the liquor policy regarding which there is a lot of ruckus was held at Arvind Kejriwal’s house itself.

On top of this, Manish Sisodia’s then Sachin had told the ED that CM Kejriwal had also done the work of increasing the 6 percent margin in the liquor policy to 12 percent. In such a situation, serious allegations have been made, some evidence has also been presented to prove those allegations, now further action is going to be decided on how Kejriwal faces them.

Can the CM be arrested?

By the way, the question also arises whether the Chief Minister of any state can be arrested like this? After all, what are its rules? Now for information, let us tell you that Section 135 of the Code of Civil Procedure clearly says that no Union Minister, Prime Minister, or Chief Minister, member of Lok Sabha-Rajya Sabha can be arrested. But this exemption is limited only to civil cases, if any case is found criminal then in that case arrest will be made and no exemption will be available.
