In an interview with journalist Richard Quest, Shahrukh Khan spoke openly about that time. He admitted that he was trying to heal his wounds. After several consecutive big budget flops, he swore that he would no longer be careless with his output. In the 2010s, Shah Rukh did high-profile unsuccessful films like ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, ‘Fan’, ‘Ra.One’, ‘Raees’ and ‘Zero’, which were flops and after this, in 2019 and Disappeared between 2023.

The actor said, “I have had many big flop films and those which performed very poorly. I was trying to heal my wounds, but you know what I did? “I learned how to make the best pizza in the world.”
The actor told that his family encouraged him to return to work. King Khan was asked whether it was difficult for him to make a comeback? On this he said, I am happy that my family did not say that your pizza is better than your films, stop making films. He said, “Your movies are as good as your pizza.”
King Khan further said, “They were very encouraging, I am especially grateful to my children and my team. I started becoming very innovative. I was searching and I started failing. I needed to be the best, I needed to be unique, but I needed to see what the audience wanted.”
Shahrukh was not understanding the demand of the audience
Shahrukh Khan admitted that he was not understanding what the audience wanted. He said, “I used to go there where thousands and lakhs of people were waving at me, but I was not able to hear or feel what they wanted to see from me. So I went and did a film about a mentally challenged person, I did a film about a manic, psychopathic fan, but no, people just love to see me giving hope, happiness and love, so let’s Let’s go back to that.”
