WTC Final 2023: Virat Kohli had left in the middle of IPL, now ready to attack Team India
The final of the World Test Championship will be played between Australia and India at The Oval ground in London.
INDIA vs AUSTRALIA: Australian player Josh Hazlewood is ready to take part in the World Test Championship after recovering at the right time. The final match of WTC is to be played between India and Australia from June 7 at The Oval ground in London. Josh Hazlewood’s name is also included in the 15 players selected by Australia for the match.
Hazlewood left RCB in the lurch
Josh Hazlewood was a part of RCB in IPL 2023. He returned to the country in the middle of the season due to fitness. Hazlewood had taken the decision just before RCB were to play a do-or-die match against Gujarat Titans. Now Hazlewood has joined his national team after getting fit in just 8 days.
Hazlewood is worried due to fitness
Hazlewood has been very worried about injury for the last two years. Since the end of the year 2021 till now, he has played only four Test matches. He was also a late addition to RCB due to injury. These players will definitely create problems for the Indian team. India’s batsmen will have to manage this bowler’s quartet with Pat Cummins, Scott Boland and Mitchell Starc.
Yashasvi Jaiswal also got a chance
After making waves with his bat in domestic cricket with IPL 2023, 21-year-old young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal got a place in the Indian team as a reserve player in the WTC final. Rituraj Gaikwad had sought leave due to marriage, due to which Jaiswal was chosen in his place.
