Atiq Murder Case: The Special Investigative Team (SIT) will now investigate the murder case of Mafia Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmed. The Police Commissioner of Prayagraj has ordered an inquiry into the entire matter. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Satish Chandra will head this team. ACP Satendra Tiwari and Crime Branch Inspector Om Prakash Singh have also been included in the team. Prayagraj police is also preparing to seek remand of the three accused from the court regarding this murder case. Let us inform that earlier, after the order of CM Yogi Adityanath, the Home Department has constituted this three-member judicial commission under the Commission of Inquiry Act 1952.
According to the information, the SIT will investigate the role of the policemen posted in custody, their presence and all the facts of the steps taken by them. Along with this, the SIT will take the investigation forward by linking link to link while ascertaining the modus operandi of the three accused.
Report to be given in two months
The UP government had earlier constituted a judicial commission in the whole matter. Former Director General of Police Subesh Kumar Singh and retired district judge Brijesh Kumar Soni have been included in the commission under the chairmanship of retired Justice Arvind Kumar Tripathi II of the Allahabad High Court. The commission will submit its report after investigating the entire matter in two months.
CM Yogi’s security will be increased
After the death of Atiq-Ashraf, it has been decided to increase the security of CM Yogi Adityanath from UP. Right now he has got Z plus category security. CM Yogi is also the star campaigner of BJP for Karnataka elections. Additional security squad will be provided to CM Yogi during his tours outside Lucknow. The scope of his close protection will be increased during the election campaign. CM Yogi held a meeting with the officials on Monday. The security system was reviewed in this.
