‘Democracy in Pakistan has been strangled’, Mehbooba Mufti’s statement on Imran Khan’s arrest

Mehbooba Mufti tweeted that democracy in Pakistan has been strangled. He wrote on Twitter, “Democracy in Pakistan has been strangled. Perhaps the only ray of hope is an independent judiciary and a fearless media holding the establishment accountable, unlike in the world’s largest democracies.”
‘Unstable Pakistan dangerous for us’ – Farooq Abdullah

We need a stable Pakistan which is essential for peace in the subcontinent. We wish well for that country, it is our neighbor and we hope that the situation there will improve soon and people will be able to live peacefully.
Former PM Imran Khan arrested
Imran Khan was presented at the Islamabad police line on Wednesday after being arrested on Tuesday. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has sought 14-day custody of Imran. After the arrest of Imran Khan, now the Government of Pakistan is tightening its noose on the leaders and workers of PTI. So far around 1000 people have been arrested.
