Manish Sisodia said that on February 18, he was sent a notice by the CBI to join the liquor policy investigation. Sisodia has requested the CBI that being the Finance Minister of Delhi, he is currently engaged in finalizing Delhi’s budget.
Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has demanded a week’s time for questioning from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The CBI had called him for questioning in the case related to ‘Delhi Liquor Policy’. After which Sisodia sought time from the agency and said that he needed time for the budget.

Three months after filing the charge sheet in the Delhi Excise Policy case, the CBI has once again called Deputy CM Manish Sisodia for questioning. The CBI called him for questioning in the liquor scam case at 11 am on Sunday. Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has sought a week’s time from the CBI. According to sources, Sisodia sought time from the agency saying that he is preparing for the Delhi Budget 2023-24. For this reason they should be given a week’s time.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Excise Policy matter said, “I had received notice from CBI for questioning today, I have requested them to give time any day after February due to budget preparation of Delhi. The preparation of the budget is in its final stages, it will be completed by the end of February.
Regarding this, Manish Sisodia said on Sunday morning that Delhi’s budget is to be presented in February. In such an important time, my every moment is precious, so I have written a letter to the CBI requesting them to keep the time after February for questioning. Hope CBI officials will understand my point. The AAP leader said that whenever he calls after February, I will go. I have always cooperated with the investigation.

Earlier, Sisodia had tweeted on Saturday saying, “CBI and ED have put full force against me, raids at home, bank locker searches, nothing has been found against me so far. My fault is that I have only made arrangements for good education for the children of Delhi. BJP people want to stop the education of children. I have always cooperated with the investigation and will continue to do so.”
