Rajasthan Police Arrested 3 Accused for Hindu Religious Scipture: Police have arrested 3 accused for burning pages of Hindu religious scriptures in Barmer, Rajasthan. The matter is of Sunday (December 25) evening. Some people were allegedly raising slogans against Hindu religion while burning pages of Hindu religious scripture. The video of this incident went viral on social media. Local Hindu organizations protested the incident and demanded the arrest of the accused.
Rajasthan Police registered FIR
Regarding this incident, Additional Superintendent of Police Narpat Singh told Indian Express, “This incident took place on 25 December, when some people of Bhim Army had organized a program of initiation into Buddhism. During this time many people had also taken the initiation of Buddhism. This program was organized by Bhim Army. After the program, he burnt the religious text ‘Manusmriti’. Singh said that soon after getting information about the incident, we registered an FIR and arrested three people.
