According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan can be 6 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature can be 12 degrees Celsius.
The temperature has reached 5 degrees in many parts of Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. The Meteorological Department has also predicted light to moderate rain in Gujarat and Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department says that Gujarat may receive rain between January 8 and 9, while Maharashtra may receive rain between January 7 and 9.
School holidays extended
School holidays have been extended in many states of the country including Uttar Pradesh due to cold. Holidays for children up to class VIII have been extended. Holidays in Noida have also been extended till January 13. All schools of Gautam Buddha Nagar will open on January 15.
