After the water recedes, the machines will be dried. Due to this, Delhi’s water will be reduced by about 25%. There may be water shortage in Delhi for 1-2 days. I hope the plant will start by tomorrow evening. Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that Wazirabad, Chandrawal and Okhla water treatment plants have to be closed. Due to this there will be water problem in some areas of Delhi. As soon as the Yamuna water recedes, we will try to start them as soon as possible.
  2. Entry and exit at Yamuna Bank Metro station have been temporarily closed due to rising water level of Yamuna river in Delhi. Due to the flood, 10 schools located in low-lying areas of Civil Lines area of ​​the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and seven in Shahdara area will remain closed on Thursday.

  4. In view of the rising water level of Yamuna in Delhi, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory on Thursday. According to the advisory, traffic has been disrupted on Mahatma Gandhi Marg between IP Flyover and Chandgi Ram Akhara, Mahatma Gandhi Marg between Kalighat Temple and Delhi Secretariat, and Outer Ring Road between Wazirabad Bridge and Chandgi Ram Akhara. It said that passengers are advised to avoid these routes and travel by other routes.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) informed that as a precautionary measure due to the rising water level, metro trains are crossing four bridges of the Yamuna with a speed limit of 30 km per hour. The water level had started decreasing since yesterday but it has increased since last night.

People have taken shelter under the flyover. Food is being distributed to the people. Heavy traffic jams were witnessed in many areas due to the traffic diversion.

  8. The Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday claimed that around 25,000 tourists have been evacuated from Kullu and Manali to safer places in the last three days. However, hundreds of people are trapped as more than 1,100 roads are still closed due to landslides and floods. A large number of tourists are stranded in Chamba, Shimla, Sirmaur, Kinnaur and other districts.   10. The LG of Delhi inspected the Pragati Maidan tunnel.
